We love our environment and support our community through our ongoing partnership with the Hamilton City Council. This year the team at Ebbett Volkswagen once again got out there and helped by planting 1000 plants at the Kauri Grove in the Pukete Farm Park over two mornings.
This was phase two of our commitment to the Pukete restoration project, so it was great to see how much our planting efforts from last year have grown and we look forward to seeing more growth this time next year when we get out there again.
Pukete Farm Park is used by the Waikato Equestrian Centre, and Mountain Bikers, and is a great dog exercise area, with natural parkland. The Kauri Grove is at the southern end of the park where a stand of kauri trees with other native vegetation is situated. This stand of Kauri is significant in Hamilton/Kirikiriroa as it is one of only a few stands of Kauri within the city boundary.
